"In the last couple of years, when Jeannette needed a substitute for her yoga class, she would ask for Iwona Wozny and we all came to appreciate her teaching.
I had noticed that the lack of exercise since March had resulted in my reduced range of motion and reduced muscle strength. So for the last 2 months, I have been doing gentle yoga online taught by Iwona and I want to recommend her to you.
I have found Iwona to be a very skillful teacher, making it easy for us participants to get into the right position and do the pose or movement correctly.
Her pace for gentle yoga is good. She is inventive about exploring interesting variations on standard asanas such as spinal balancer, cat/cow, bridge pose. She gives clear instructions about breathing with the movements.
Iwona begins and ends each class with a bit of yoga philosophy, which is helpful in these trying days.

Last night I was so touched in yoga class with Iwona at Powerhouse in Placerville so much that I made her take a photo with me. She started class by introducing the Lakota prayer Aho Mitakuye Oyasin, also a chant by Orenda Blu. Then she ended class by reading the translation (below) in her own enchanting way of speaking. It's my favorite song on our album "Chants of Love & Light" and I hadn't heard it in awhile. It touched me on many levels, mostly because 2016 has been a tough year for me and so many people in my life.... So I wanted to share what Iwona shared with class, this beautiful translated prayer for you on this Solstice Day: "Aho Mitakuye Oyasin"
